                               Connection Groups

What is a connection group?

A group of 10 to 12 individuals committed to meet on a regular basis, typically weekly or biweekly, in order to practice the “one anothers” of congregational life.

Where do the connection groups meet?

Connection groups meet in the homes of WBC attendees.

How long is a connection group meeting?

Typically each meeting will last 90 minutes.

Who leads a connection group?

Connection group leaders are regular attenders of WBC and have been trained to lead a small group.

Your connection group leader will be a person who sincerely cares about you, who desires to help you

learn how the Bible applies to your everyday life.

What happens in a connection group meeting?

Sharing:  Learn about each other as you become a caring group of believers.

Bible Study:  Explore the Bible with lots of interaction as you learn how the Bible applies to your daily life.

Prayer:  Converse with God as you experience His strength for facing the challenges of life.

Food & Fun:  Many of our groups gather around the table, enjoying potlucks or theme nights.  They also go on group

outings such as camping, hiking, skiing, fishing, concerts and service projects.

When do the connection groups meet?

Each connection group has selected the best time and day for them.  Most groups meet in the evenings.

What about childcare during a connection group meeting?

Each WBC connection group decides how to handle childcare.  Many of our connection groups offer childcare - either in another room at your meeting place or at a nearby home.  Our aim is to enable parents the opportunity to interact with other adults.

What do you study in a connection group?

The connection group leader works with the group to determine what works best for them.

How can you get involved in a connection group?

Contact Pastor John.  Groups are forming continually and Pastor John will work with you to determine the best fit for you.

What can I do to help?

Consider leading or hosting a connection group.  See Pastor John for details on what these positions entail.

Who do I contact with my questions?

Contact Pastor John Doak ~ 376-2176  ext. 19.

Every day they continued to meet together in the temple courts.  They broke bread in their homes and ate together with glad and sincere hearts.  Acts 2:46
