Quality Commitments
Devotion in Worship:
Honoring God not only with our lips, but
in our hearts and lives.
As a church body we are committed to authenticity
in our spiritual life. For our ministry this means that our worship of Christ
must go beyond our Sunday morning services and encompass every aspect of our
lives, and it must go beyond our singing and encompass every thought and
intention of our hearts. |
Doctrine in Worship:
Celebrating and teaching the Word of God through
our songs.
As a church body we are committed to the authority
of Scripture. We believe that the Scriptures are the Word of God, truth for our
faith and our worship, for true worshippers worship the Father in Spirit and in
truth (John 4:23). Therefore as a ministry we strive to choose lyrics which are
grounded in scripture.
As a ministry we also recognize the enormous
teaching ability of music. We recognize that God’s Word is easily remembered
and carried with us through song. It is our desire to see the freeing truth of
Scripture instruct us and encourage us through the songs that we sing.
Diversity of Worship:
Integrating old and new songs, scripture and
prayer.
As a church body we are committed to the
centrality of Christ. Therefore as a ministry, we aim to exalt Christ in every
aspect of our services. We also recognize that we are a diverse congregation,
consisting of people of varying ages, backgrounds, and walks of life. In order
to minister to the diversity of our congregation, we strive to integrate old and
new songs of praise, Scripture and prayer, and various musical styles, while
keeping Christ as our central, unifying focus.
Discipleship in Ministry:
Mentoring and encouraging others in the ministry.
As a church body we are committed to community in
our congregational life. For our ministry this means that Christian service is
something that we do together. We are therefore committed to praying for one
another, encouraging one another, serving one another, teaching and learning
from one another, and comforting one another. In sum, we desire to love one
another with the love we ourselves have received from Christ.
